Must have been thrilling for Schroeder,anyway,considering he hosted that party in honor of Beethoven’s birthday,on 12/16/1962.

When this strip came out in 1962, it would have meant for regular readers that Beethoven’s Birthday would finally get the Sunday strip treatment, with more than just the plain old four panels. Thrilling news indeed!
