Lucy looks very pleased with herself, having made Charlie Brown feel terrible.

Charlie Brown, you’ve already been a hero many times. You might not win ball games or fly kites properly, but you’re the kind of person who’d sit up with Linus on his first night of blanket withdrawal. That makes you a hero in my book.

One of my favorite strips of the decade. There’s something cruelly hilarious about how Lucy is able to see through Charlie Brown’s thin veneer immediately and exploit his weakness without even a second thought.
