For once, this is not a slam directly focused on the current administration. For several past administrations, the government has downplayed any information about the war. They try to keep it out of the public consciousness. If people fully under understood what it meant to be fighting a war, they might actually pressure the government to try to end the war.

Should be easy to end a war, now that we have The Greatest Negotiator in Human History.
