Oh I loved doing the crossword puzzles. In fact my hubby got my puzzle books many Christmases and I couldn’t wait to do them. I’d take them to work and after I had my lunch did puzzles or read my book.
There were some guys at my unit thirty years ago who liked to get another copy of the newspaper and do the crossword so they could tell me spoilers for it. Talk about “quick”; it turned into a race, with me trying to finish my copy of the crossword before they gave me the answers. (I actually won a time or two.)
Hubby was that way when he was first learning to use his home computer. He was tenacious! I would try to convince him to come to bed – he had to work the next day – but he wouldn’t budge from his office chair until he had solved whatever dilemma he was working on. So the dogs and I would just go ahead and go to sleep! He did get to be very good with computers, though.
