Well, I have a saying, the curse of the pick-up owner.
People who will never invite you over to a afternoon barbecue have no problem inviting you over to help them move.
Thankfully for me, the one non-family member I helped move has invited me over to his house.

I’ve learned as the owner of a pool that many new neighbors are friends only until they learn that I like to swim alone and only when the water is “warm” because I don’t swim in the sun. I just like peaceful laps after dusk.
