lies, lies, everywhere. Grenada was going Communist and had American students hostage….most Americans approved Reagan’s action and the USSR had to delay by years its inroads in the American hemisphere.

Reagan bombed Ghadaffi after the Libyan tyrant had killed many Americans in a German nightclub. Justice. Too bad the bombs missed the oppressor of the Libyan people who are today risking their lives to oust the tyrant, without much help from their Arab brothers, btw.

I agree that Reagan should have done much more after our men in Lebanon were slaughtered by terrorists….just as Clinton should have done much more in African bombings of US embassies and in the aftermath of the attack on the USS Cole in the Persian Gulf.

**Jones’ ‘toon is incorrect. there is as much or maybe more back seat clamor from the LEFT WING…..seen and heard in Media.

“Grenada was going Communist and had American students hostage….most Americans approved Reagan’s action and the USSR had to delay by years its inroads in the American hemisphere.” You have GOT to be kidding. One dinky little island with a potentially left-wing leader, and suddenly Reagan saved the American hemisphere from the USSR? Oh, c’mon…

There were a couple Cubans helping to build an airstrip on Grenada- Grenada- off the coast of Venezuela was barely outside Venezuela’s oil fields. Need we say more? We lost more troops through “friendly fire” than there were Cubans o the island.

A guy got pushed off a boat and Reagan Bombed Libya, killing Gadaffi’s young daughter, and we lost more air crew members than the “bad guys” lost.

Bush 41 attacked Panama, more “friendly fire” losses, over 600 Panamanian civilians were killed, but we finally put Noriega in jail.

Let’s hope this UN action doesn’t turn out as stupid as anything Reagan or Bush 41 or 43 did. (At least 41 had the good sense to stop in Iraq, after he screwed up and let Saddam invade Kuwait in the first place.)

dt needs to get his history from other than Rush and Beck or their bloggers.

The toon has it right, no matter what Obama does, it will be “wrong” in the “color blind” eyes of the right.

Baslim, when I did a search on Wikipedia the first thing that comes up is “Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit.” Perhaps you want to cite a different source.

Cynicism isn’t only right wing (just check Matt Bors’ cartoon; http://www.mattbors.com/).

It’s the generation X getting old! When a generation that was already depressed at age fifteen hits mid-life crisis, it can’t be pretty!

Baslim I’d watch out for Wiki if I were you.

    http://m.gawker.com/5167585/right+wing-writer-invents-his-own-obama-wikipedia-scandal

There are right wing think tanks that are on a daily basis editing Wikipedia in much the same manner as the Scientology nuts are editing their pages. That’s why when guys like Churchill use it as a legitimate source of information to prove a crazy claim I have to find video, audio, or some news story to refute said claim.

So my advice: read a history book NOT written by the Texas school board.
