My father in law had a heart issue. A couple of weeks later, he posted on Facebook: “HEART ATTACH!” Nothing else. Not even the right word. People in the comments were like “Are you having a heart attack now?”
When his birthday rolled around, that message came over about “This year for my birthday … yada yada…” My wife came into the room all livid, “Can you BELIEVE my father?! He has a grandson who died of muscular dystrophy, and another with type 1 diabetes, and he asks for donations to St Jude’s hospital for his birthday!” I looked at her phone and said “He didn’t type that.” She’s like, “What are you talking about.” I said “It must be an automated thing from Facebook. You can tell HE didn’t type it because it’s spelled right, and has punctuation and capital letters.” She said , “Oh, yeah. Right.”
