Around here, a glazed donut is a regular donut. The plain donut is a cake donut.

eyes glazed…followed by a nap that lasts a few hours…

I bet that her eyes always look glazed.

I always thought the reason they called them that is because they had so much sugar in them that they made your eyes glaze over.

Broomie always tries to sugar-coat everything.
