That’s exactly my gripe! I got a self-propelled model because my yard surface is full of dips and bumps, making it hard to push the mower. Its ‘low’ speed is still too fast for my liking. I want to mosey behind it, not trot.

A handy plugger would have built a trailer thing to be towed behind that mower he could ride in.

Real Pluggers still think that there might be neighborhood kids around who will come and do it for a reasonable fee.

mine has multiple speeds depending on how you squeeze the handle. Good thing I sometimes don’t have the strength to squeeze too hard….

Late hubby had a self-propelled lawn mower (which he had no trouble keeping up with, until he got heart problems), AND a self-propelled vacuum cleaner. I did not like the vacuum cleaner, and preferred to to use a smaller, regular type. The dogs had no preferences – they hated all of the above equally, lol.
