Poor Fred stuck inside with nothing to do but lay around.

Send that rain here.

British weather forecasts will sometimes sound better than they are. One time, Michael Fish, a very well-known weather man in the U.K., gave the following day’s forecast as, “Mostly dry, with some sunny spells.” It sounded a lot better than the past few days. It had been raining off and on. The next day came, and it was the same as before. It then dawned on me that the American weather man would have said, “Mostly cloudy with scattered rain showers.”
