As a female who worked for 30 years in a predominantly male industry, I think the gender-specific word argument is just blaming others for your own poor self esteem.

I would say postal carrier or letter carrier. Personally, removing gender- specific words is on par with politically correct speech. Both are dumb ideas.

It just doesn’t feel right to me to say postwoman. I say postman even though she’s a lady. Anyone else feel like this?
I’m fine with everything else- stuntwoman, chairwoman etc

I too use a gender-neutral term that incorporates the male, female and neuter genders. The term is SHHEEIT. Pronunciation should be obvious.
