This reminds me of an episode of “The Dick Van Dyke Show.” Rob and Laura’s son, Richie, had a pet duck and the duck was sick, so Rob took the duck to the vet. When he got there, a man with a dog and a lady with a cat were ahead of him. The man with the dog was treating his dog like a person and then the dog was called in to see the vet.
Lady with a cat (to Rob): “Isn’t that silly? Some people treat their pets like people. A dog is a dog, and a duck is a duck.” (Holding up cat): “And a cat is a person!”
I was home from school sick when I first saw that episode and when I saw it, I laughed myself silly. Knowing that my mom was (and remains) a cat person, I told her what the lady with the cat said. Her response: “She’s right!”

Um, some of my favorite people have been furry quadrupeds. I don’t advocate voting rights for them, even if they’re native born citizens! ;-)

I’m sorry but some of my best conversations have been with furry four-legged people.

It’s all fun and games until someone tells you your cat is not a person.

Toonces seems to be more important that Jenny. At least Toonces thinks so.
