(Phntm) Looks like Chatu is going to choose the gun (the other choice).

(Rex Morgan) I think I’m going to repeat my earlier prediction - that lottery ticket is never going to be cashed in. Either it’s invalid or Berna will tear it up.

(Judge Parker) By the time we get back to the NYC storyline, the judge will have written another book.

(FoxTrot Classics) Bateador=Batter. But I don’t “get” this strip today, in English or Spanish.

(Foxtrot) In the first 3 panels the reader thinks that Fox is the First Baseman, giving the usual First Baseman’s chatter. In the last panel, we see it’s really the pitcher who is pleading that the batter will strike out because the pitcher has walked too many batters.

(Phantom) So we’re back to the gun and asking, what will happen when he squeezes the trigger.

(Rex Morgan) I wish Dexter had been that astute in judging Tony’s character.

(Judge Parker) And at the same time, Sophie will actually be acquiring an actual interest in the subject.

    (Mark Trail) Whoo, whoo!

I was wondering if we could add another couple of strips to our discussion forum. 1- Pibgorn, because we aren’t allowed to discuss it on the the regular Pibgorn page and there are so many questions I have about it, and 2- Alley Oop, simply because it’s always been one on my favorites and it has degenerated into almost as sad a shape as Dick Tracy did before it was finally revived.

davidf42: I’ll give Alley Oop a try with you…see if we can get something going. However, I don’t think we should post Pibgorn comments here. It is my understanding that it was the artist/cartoonist who shut down the comments, so if we were to post here, this forum could be shut down as well. IMHO Pibgorn comments would need to be posted on a blog or forum that is not a gocomics site.

Alley Oop artwork is still very good. However, I agree that the story lines have gotten pretty lame these past few years. I mean, really: King Guz quits in a fit of pique? Oop and Oolah almost marry because neither of them is brave enough to say what they really feel? Not to mention the current “Earth 2” story line. Sheesh.

OK, I’ll agree about the Pibgorn comments. So let’s try Alley Oop. And I agree with Jan’s comments. The stories have gotten really silly. The artwork is OK, but IMHO it just doesn’t come up to the V.T. Hamlin and Dave Graue standards.

(REX) June took Tony balonnies card as he was getting kicked out of Berna’s house, sooo start at that address if it’s on there, huh!

(3G) Nothing’s free unless it’s private contributions- maybe Dan Dillar might help. :-)

(MW) Mysteries can be solved if we peek at the last chapter.

(JP) Ah, the learning process, for Sophie. Wish I was young again-and know what I do now. :-) :-)

The only way Jason can get the batter out is if they will swing at his bad pitches.

MW - Liza is too, too, obvious. She needs to find her own passion and it doesn’t seem to be nursing. Maybe she should go to Viet Nam.

JP - Sophie may actually learn to like the same music.

A3G - probably a private foundation. Dan Diller is a good guess. But then could he also fund Tommie’s play? Is Tommie still at breakfast?

Rex - I feel a lot better knowing Rex is going to help Berna. June calls her husband “Doc”? Actually, I’ve heard doctor’s wives do that.

David, is Bassman Bob still around?

(Judge Parker) SWEETBILL, wouldn’t that be great - to be young again and know what we do now.

    :-) :-) :-)

(Mary Worth) marvee, I agree (Liza is too obvious - and she should go to Viet Nam).

(Alley Oop) I see a truck and an underground bunker - are they in the Southwest someplace?

Florchi, yes. At a rocket launch site owned by Dr Wonmug. They are about to take off on a space mission to a planet that exists only in low-key sci-fi stories. The planet is called Earth 2 and they aren’t even sure it really exists.

As a Marine Vet- DEC. 24, 1966-July 1971, WHO in their right mind(if they have one) would suggest someone to go to Viet Nam?????

Maybe the International RED CROSS ship or assist in 3RD world countries with the PEACE CORP… but I would suggest helping homeless Vets in the US and /or vets with disabilties that allowed us to sit behind our keyboards TODAY.. Gee, better yet go to the FL. Keys or Hawaii and do the same thing if your a nurse, female or male…

Sweetbill: do you remember the story of the nurse who left with the load of babies on the last flight out of VN? I have connected with her on Facebook (I had already met her daughters)…she continues to go back to VN and work with families there. That is why she goes back (she keeps the connections open between the kids rescued and the families that asked her to please save their babies).

(Mary Worth) Hasn’t Dr. Drew Carey just returned from Vietnam where he worked at a clinic there (Peace Village?) - see the April 4 strip.
