Anyone who thinks cats don’t know their own names is sadly misinformed. Whether they choose to respond to that name seems to be rather arbitrary (at least to humans).

Of course, dogs clean their faces the same way. And eat any poop they can find – cats don’t do that! Why would people keep something as disgusting as a dog around?! Let’s see your explanation for that, Old Timer…

I like both cats and dogs but I prefer spit covered cats in my lap to dogs with cat and squirrel poop scented breath trying to lick me.
