I had an employee who’s task was to write contract proposals. He spent the vast majority of his time on YouTube and Facebook. He was shocked when I terminated his own contract. I was not paying him $65,000.00 yearly to play games and watch videos on YouTube. I suspected issues when no proposals were forthcoming, so I had his computer monitored. He complained to the Dept of Labor. I showed them the screen shots and monitor reports. They agreed with me.

Does anyone remember the DOS text-based game ‘Adventure?’

    Office productivity went down 50%.

Mid 70’s I bought a Pong game for our stereo store. Productivity crashed. Pong, really?

It throw me back to college and to the computer department. The student there were great at playing games and look innocent at the same time. «Oh, no! We aren’t playing! We are working on our assignements!» I loved sqwat there just for that!
