The cartoons in my day had violence toward unreal characters, such as a duck repeatedly getting its beak blown off by shotgun blasts, or a coyote falling six miles down a canyon, only to have a piano fall on him. Remember the movie, “Roger Rabbit,” where human and cartoon characters exist together, and humans die from dropped pianos, but toons don’t? Now, what kind of characters, animalistic, or humanoid, suffer violence in modern cartoons?
