In NY, they banned one time use plastic bags, but everyone I know used them at least twice.

The grocery store I go to says no to customer’s own bags. But I was told recently if the baggers don’t mind then I can bring my own.

A large chain I know of will let you bring your own, but you have to do the bagging. If you let them bag they will use their bags, and charge 10¢ per bag. And they do not give a discount if you use the self checkout and do all the work. So you have to take that discount yourself.

This is why I don’t listen to the nonsense. They keep changing the rules, so put the groceries in whatever bag is at the checkout. Or use cardboard boxes like Aldi.
