Manx1964 here with bIrqul (the housemate), and we’re moved by the tribute to “Sarah Jane”. We’ve lost an actress who was an important part of our growing up (and grown up!) tele-family. Boquets of cyber-flowers to K-9 and Doctor David in sympathy, plus best wishes to her husband and daughter.
Sarah Jane was always “my” companion, just as “my” Doctor was, and is, Tom Baker. Right now, I am just numb. It’s like losing a good friend. Her death was not even on my radar. It’s like getting struck by lighting. Surely 2011 will be remembered by us Whovians as an “annus horribilis”. We have lost The Brigadier early this year, and now, Sarah Jane. bleeep, I hate it when reality interferes with my sci-fi.
For the record, John Kovalic and I produced our comics at almost exactly the same time. I tried to pull my strip for the 20th and substitute this one, but I didn’t make the deadline in time. So I had to swap out today instead.
I fell in love from the first time that fresh, spunky, investigative reporter started sniffing around that suspicious, white haired Doctor with the ruffles & velvet.
This is the first I’d heard. The Brigadier, too? Must be Dalleks. RUN!!
Thanks, Pab. Elisabeth Sladen will be greatly missed. ( For more information go to http://www.bbc.co.uk . There are a number of tributes, including David Tennant, Matt Smith, and Russell T. Davis.)
Thanks, Pab. I tried to get into Dr Who- just could not find a personal connection, but I understand the feelings of many others. I still wish others could appreciate the humor of Imogene Coca- not filmed in a lasting media like the very inferior Lucy.

This is my very first comment on Gocomics, and it’s to say “Thank you”. A good way to start, I think.
