It ate my Toyota, even though they had a recall for that. The dealer told me it was fine, even though they didn’t do anything to protect it. When the truck frame became dangerous they told me the recall had expired.
I have several engine blocks pulled from rusted out cars. I gave away some running engines away. The rust free cars that needed engines never appeared.
Bought a used truck from a road salting state. Never been to a state where they use salt so didn’t really know what that meant until later. Cost thousands of dollars to replace the salt corroded parts and it’s still thick with rust. I think we might get 2-3 more years out of it. I’ll never, ever, buy a north east car again. I’m from the west coast where we’ve never salted, recently they started yelping that we need to salt our roads in winter because it’s “economical”…..
