I think a cube farm provides sensory assault, rather than deprivation. After I retired from broadcast engineering, I provided tech support at a local newspaper. I’ve never worked in a more consistently noisy environment. When a new manager came along and lowered the cube partitions from six to four feet, I offered to resign. Fortunately, they moved me to a private office beside the press room. Still lower noise there, even with a 60 year old Goss web offset press running in the next room.

Ringing ears in a sensory deprivation tank sounds like there is a fire alarm in with you.
