Why is he upset at the salesman for his own shortcomings?
Last panel is perfect: Many Christmases ago had to assemble a gift for my daughter. I used the direction sheet and it took me about 2 hrs. to get it together. I shoulda just dumped out all the parts and built it, woulda taken about 15-20 minutes.
From the parts it looks like a pole lamp. But there may be many other parts out of sight we can’t see so I’m not placing any bets on the end result.
