    He can have it. Warranty on this one is up, anyway. I’ve got an upgraded replacement on order, and I’m just waiting for his leg to fall asleep before moving in.

    I always feared that if you cut a limb that’s asleep, you’ll bleed sand!

    Sounds confusion between “pins and needles” and narcolepsy. With narcolepsy, you’re awake but have no voluntary motor control. It’s a lag between the brain waking and the chemical flush that re-enables your muscles. Voluntary muscles have to be “turned off” during dreaming, so you don’t thrash around and hurt yourself.
