Mine would roll down, but not up in hot weather until it had time to cool. The problem, of course, was a faulty overheat sensor. Sadly, this is an integral part of the motor, so the entire motor had to be replaced for this ten cent part.
It’s not always the mechanics who are the crooks.

Ray, that’s an advantage of hand cranked windows.
Note: I have power windows too.
