I’ve had the opposite happen. I was in a really deep sand trap, pitched out, and then climbed up after raking the sand to look for my ball. Wasn’t on the green. Well, of course not. Wasn’t on the other side of the green either though as expected. Looked all over. Finally, I looked in the hole. For that one they should have confetti come out.
I was playing our city course. Seventeenth hole, 200 yards. Teed off with a two-iron and put the ball about two feet to the right of the hole. Missed the putt.
