Trying to think of really relatively big bugs in the U.S. Some palmetto bugs but they don’t attack people.. Northern giant hornets (formerly murder hornets) grow up to 2 inches long. Cicada wasp killers up to 1.5 inches long but they don’t go after people. Some Praying Mantis’ are a couple of inches long but, again, do see people as food.
