Here’s a translation of the B y E strip, as best I can do (I don’t speak Spanish): Benitin (Jeff) says that his cute car has everyone’s attention…even the police officer (“Now he’s whistling at me!”) “Vayyyyyyy” translates as “Go” or “Goooooo.” After the crash, Benitin returns to where he bought his cute car, saying “When they sold me my auto, they said that they would replace what was broken or missing.”
Starting to get light, at least what I can see through the foggy windows. Currently 37 degrees without, (with out what, I don’t know). Today is predicted to be 44 with partly cloudy skies. I can live with that. (^.^)
Sitting here watching “Superman”, “Batman” next, do like the old stuff.
A normal Sunday coming up, to be enjoyed by all.
May God bless thee and keep thee, and have a wonerful day.
What a treat! Everything is so crisp, and smells soooooo good! I’ll have to wait until at least 2 for my walk. It might get all the way uo to 45 today. Indian Summer is definitely over.
We watched a movie from 1950 with Jane Powell and Ricardo Montelbaum and Debbie Reynolds…. “Two Weeks in Love”. It was worth every minute. A delightful comedy set at the turn of the century. Very enjoyable.
Good service this morning. We were finishing up 2 Timothy. These were Paul’s last written words before he was beheaded.
I did get my errands done yesterday. I bought everything we need to put up the shelves. I also bought a new light switch to replace the one in the bathroom. Michael is working on that now and I am keeping a hands off approach. He gets upset if I kibitz too much. The old switch was loose and flickering so it was time to replace it.
Talking of movies, we watched “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” last night. Then I watched the “making of” video hosted by Howard Keel. It’s a fun movie that was made on a very small budget that became a huge hit for the studio. The choreographer (Michael Kidd) didn’t think there was any place for dancing when read the original script. He gradually changed his mind. The barn raising dance will blow your socks off. (trivia tidbit: only 5 of the brothers were dancers, so you see only the 5 of them during most of the number. The sixth brother was only on the dance platform at the very end to catch his girl when she jumped into his arms. And the seventh (Howard Keel) was already married so he didn’t need to dance. Truth is that you don’t notice this during the dance.)
We’re at 85 right now at noon and expecting only 88. It may turn out to be a day we keep the doors and windows open. AQI is at 54 (yellow) and the only place in the state that isn’t green. Lucky us.

“Well, then, give me a new hat and three teeth.”
