If you want to be technically correct, Luna and Terra are close enough in mass that they form a two body system, and both orbit a common point.
That point lies within the mantle of Terra, and tidal forces affect the mantle in many ways.
Eventually, (a VERY long time from now) as Luna continues to recede from Terra (due to tidal drag) that common point will be above the surface of Terra, and the Terra-Luna system will be properly termed a double planet system
