(Rex Morgan) Great idea, Rex. I hope you’re not too late. And I’ll admit that I was being a little harsh with Berna earlier seeing that she is trying to take care of her brother. But I still think she has a sorry attitude about it.
(Judge Parker) I don’t remember. Are these men in the same building where the other action is taking place?
(Mark Trail) Yup. Just like I predicted. It’s a sapling spring loaded snare that will leave Mark hanging upside down by his feet.
(Apartment 3-G) Maybe Tommie is the one getting married.
(Alley Oop) Driller is the guy who is paying for this space mission. He put up the money so Wonmug has to report to him for a final OK for the launch. And, you’d think a guy with Driller’s money would have a modern Blue Tooth in his car.
(JP) davidf42: Right before we segued into the Sophie story (back at the farm), Sam and Angel were in NYC talking about going to a jazz club. Then, when we finally came back to the NYC story, we saw Angel the driver (his occupation) and Sam Driver (his last name) drop off Judge Parker and Constance at The Seedy Theater before driving off to the jazz club.
(Phntm) woodworker318 & teh: Timbuktu (aka Timbuctoo) is a real place in West Africa. It has also been long used as a metaphor for a place distant, remote or mysterious. There was a sign pointing to Timbuktu in the Sunday strip. Question: Has the real Timbuktu previously figured in the Phantom storylines? Is it anywhere near the mythical “Bengalla”?
Peter and Page have very different ideas about good driving. She has to tell him that double the speed limit, going on 2 wheels and bumps are not compliments.
JP - I don’t see how Angel and Sam can help. She should have called 9-1-1 just in case. She wouldn’t want to spook the lady though
Rex - He may be driving into a dangerous situation.
A3G - We jump several weeks and someone is getting married???!!!
MW - Good comment, Florchi, about the lines. Mary Worth has always been know for bromides. But just because they may be old and worn doesn’t mean they don’t contain some valuable truth. The same could be said of some Shakespeare quotes and much of the Bible.
Now will Drew have the courage to tell Liza or will he just make lame excuses and run back to VietNam. If rejected, will Liza become vengeful? The stories we’ve read before were all resolved too easily so that may happen here also.
MT - Mark is supposed to be a good woodsman but the mountain man may be better.
Phantom - The Sunday strip seemed to tie in somewhat with the previous story, but now we’re off on a completely new adventure. We were told so on Saturday and it’s even labeled today.
