(Rex Morgan) I think Dex should keep the bass boat - better to be hooked on fishing than on sitting in front of the TV. What happened to the crime in progress (Tony & Riley)?
(Judge Parker) Looks like Connie is calling Angel & Sam at the jazz club. Larry Cheatham is the Judge’s current publisher -I think Dewey Cheatham was shot & killed. To see more re Dewey from a blog, click this link and scroll down to post #16:
The Ballad of Dixie Julep
(Mary Worth) I don’t recall Drew buying into being “a couple.” I think he may be about to uncouple this relationship.
(FoxTrot) No matter how Morton ways says, ”Hello my Love,” Paige says the same thing - ”I’m not going to the dance with you” (No voy a ir al baile contigo).
(Phantom) By his comments, it seems that this story is happening in harmony with the continuity in the daily strips.
(Rex Morgan) Berna is a selfish old hag! If half the money is Dexter’s he can buy anything with his half that he wants. And if Dexter has any sense, he’ll buy himself a house and get away from the old bat.
(Judge Parker) It looks like Connie texted the guy in the restaurant. She should be calling 911.
(Mark Trail) I’ve been to both the Dead Sea and Great Salt Lake, went swimming in Great Salt Lake, and it’s true, you don’t sink. You can tread water, standing up, without moving a muscle.
(Apartment 3-G) I think Trey is a little stuck on himself.
(Alley Oop) I hope we see the launch tomorrow or Tuesday.
David, aren’t you being a bit harsh about Berna. Sure she promised him half, but they don’t have the money yet. He’s running up huge credit card bills against a promise that may or may not happen. (And if Tony & Co have their way, it won’t)
Besides, it was established (at least among us Foxtrotters) way back at the beginning of this story arc that he’s “slow” and probably can’t live on his own. How many men his age are you aware of that live with their sisters while the sister supports both of them?
(Phntm) davidf42: I agree that it appears there may be continuity with the Sunday strip and the daily strips; I hope so! Does anyone know what the large castle-like structure is in the last panel? It must be in the Timbuktu region.
Map of Timbuktu Region
(RM) JanCinVV: I agree. I think Berna loves her brother, but is frustrated with him right now. I don’t think she’s being unduly harsh - just letting him know she’s not happy. I hope she changes her mind about the bass boat and that they keep it and go fishing in it - together. A bass boat that you can park in the driveway doesn’t seem like a wild extravagance, under the circumstances.
The “romance” languages aren’t working as Morton wanted them to.
JP - Yes, it would be good to call 9-1-1 but I think she’ll be talked down anyway. Being sad is understandable, but she should not blame herself.
A3G - I’m disappointed that Trey seems only interested in what this project will do for him.
Rex - I think Berna called the police about the possible robbery, but would they respond with nothing more to go on? I would think Rex would be concerned about his office and other contents in the safe (e.g., drugs).
Phantom - we learn more about The Nomad, and Phantom’s immortality.

(Rex Morgan) The ending seems to be unresolved as we do not see or hear about whether or not the police stopped the crime in progress.
(MW) Looks like Liza wants to make all of the decisions about everything.
