Adam; When I was a kid, our schools weren't are conditioned. Clayton; How did you stay cool? Adam; I wore a t-shirt with Fonzie on it. Clayton; What's a Fonzie? Adam; Fonzie was a cool dude who put this thumbs up and went "heyyy." Clayton; Gosh. I wish the threshold for "being cool" was still so low.

At least Adam didn’t have the nerve to say that those were, “Happy Days.”

only 5 Knight? For me it was 10 miles, uphill both ways, with 3 feet of snow in the middle of June!!Most of the schools where I grew up still don’t have A/C … they have windows. Open ’em.

My state of coolness was non-existant (and I went to high school when Happy Days was at its peak). Today I’m so cool I’m icy. Modesty notwithstanding, of course.

No AC was okay in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. But that was in Hawaii. It was another story in Alabama.

When I was in junior high, one of the teachers paid to have air conditioning installed in her classroom. They soon made her stop using it because it “wasn’t fair to the rest of the students.”

Air conditioning is for the teachers, not the students.
