As a gamer, I get his logic but he also forgets that some monsters and creatures are not MEANT to be attacked. I remember in Mass Effect Andromeda there was a giant metallic worm that rose and dove like a fish in the desert. Completely unkillable and can decimate you in one or two hits. Players tried to find a strategy for it for a while before they realize he was never meant to be killed. Jason reminds me of those players.
I remember a speaker talking about different perspectives on … something, I forget what, but she said, "Two people were looking at a mountain, and one said – ‘That must be conquered, I must climb it’, the other asked “why?’ The first replied ‘Because it is there!’ To which the second said, ‘Maybe it’s there just so we can enjoy the view’”
