I have a cell phone and still ge.t unwanted calls. Block the numbers and they just get another one. Same thing. I’m supposed to be in prison now for S.S. fraud. Same as last year. It won’t ever stop.
I timed the commercials in a program I recorded. 10 presses of the “skip 30 seconds” button = 300 seconds divided by 60 seconds in a minute = 5 minutes per commercial break. Say a minimum of 5 commercial breaks in any given hour-long show and that is 25 minutes of ads to 35 minutes of show.
And they can’t understand why people are flocking to streaming services.
I got a ip phone number on my computer, when someone calls and its not on my number list it goes directly to voice mail. otherwise it gets forward to my cell phone. my cell phone is set up to accept only calls from my computers ani. So no robo calls
I’ve taken to recording oldies that I like, ie Magnum, PI (Selleck), Murder She Wrote, and others that had good stories and acting and watching them. There are a lot of shows on the local channels I just refuse to watch. If it’s ‘Reality’ tv it’s not for me.

You develop a sense of timing as to how much you can do before the program resumes.

I find the quality of television directly proportional to the amount of attention I pay to it.

I’ve watched more American news in the last 4 years than the last 44 years. It’s like a badly written soap opera that one can’t turn away from.

I get the same results by leaving the ringer off and the voicemail on.

These days it seems that once in a while there is a break in commercials for a couple of minutes of programming.

Complaining about TV with not enough commercial interruptions is like complaining about non-combustion engines being too quiet.
