My wife who is 5’1" tall and weighed 108 lbs lost 7 lbs during our first pregnancy. She spent the last 3 months with a constant IV and ended up in the hospital for the last 2 weeks. She had the same problem with our second child, but the doctors started her on a drip IV in a back pack in the second Trimester. She only lost 4 lbs during that pregnancy. She liked to tell people that my children try to kill the host. Both kids and mom are fine, but the Doctor recommended we have no more children, as Mom might not be so lucky with a third.
