Cats with “tortoise shell” colouring, (orange and black) and variations, with or without white, are predominately female to the tune of about 100,000 to 1 and likewise any males with that colouring are sterile. We had a pair of calicos about 20 years ago. Very friendly kitties.
Me neighbor’s male cat and my female cat are both spayed but like to play together. It cracks me up when I see them doing the “rolling at each other” from several feet apart.
