I remember one time after we attended our aunt’s funeral, a couple of family members and I went to go visit some other family members graves, but the grounds had been so neglected that the grass grew to the point where some of the tombstones were covered up and we had a hard time finding them!
I went to camp in the Berkshires and, at the time, one week out of our stay everybody went to the little white church where the camp owner was minister. Then we tour the churchyard, where the tombstones dated back to the 1700s. Was THAT an education!!! People had an entirely different approach to mortality back them.
