I used try to figure out the location of the point of view in a movie by considering the angles of objects in the background. Movies set in San Francisco which has lots of landmarks, seemed like good candidates. I spent an hour trying to figure out where Sam Spade’s detective office was located, before I realized it was just a backdrop.
