I’ve had that problem too, did I abbreviate or separate the words?

I gave up giving sensible answers to those questions years ago. If a hacker tried enough car types they might actually get the right one, so instead I would claim my first car was a “zebra” (not my actual answer just an example) and the answer sticks in my head because it makes me chuckle, or reminds me of something I watched or read…. as an example… zebra for my first car would come from an association with the movie “Dude where’s my car?” use of an ostrich which in one version of Swiss family Robinson was ridden by the girl in a race where one of the boys rode a zebra. If anyone can randomly figure out what my password hints are they have earned their hacking victory.

I write all my passwords in a little notepad. They are all different. They are saved on my laptop too, but when that laptop dies, I’m doing it all over again.

I hate those security questions that MS makes mandatory. Be bad enough if you could make your own questions but the ones that MS gives you are just daft.

Lesson learned, when giving answer to security questions, use the KISS principal.

I never answer the security questions truthfully. Name of my elementary school? Hogwarts. And never the same answer twice. I store the questions and my fake answers in my password manager. This way trolls can’t figure out the answers to security questions by perusing my Facebook or Twitter account.
