LOL I’ve seen dogs actually do things like that, go for a noise they thought was something else.
I once had a cellphone with a quite realistic ”meow” ringtone. I never had the chance to test it near a dog.
My dog does this every time the “icee treats” cart rolls by - which is twice a day EVERY day!
