If we want to be married when we’re single, and want to be single when married, I think that says something about us not being comfortable with ourself.
And if he wants the same thing, it’s a win-win solution.
Marriage is like a birdcage. Some on the inside, want out. Some on the outside, want in.
What she and hubby need are two vacations a year. She goes in May; he goes in October. (And are each gone for 4 months.)
I had a few “honeymoons” but avoided the marriages.
