What all these have in common is “help for sale”. I was married to a psychotherapist. If people could choose the right advice to help themselves, they probably wouldn’t need help. My wife admitted she originally studied psychotherapy to be a “better” client. She had been in therapy for twenty years before going back to college. I question any therapy that requires decades to show its effect.
