I just saw a YouTube clip of Final Jeopardy. The question was (roughly) “Name a comic strip based on two philosophers.” Alex Trebek said he never saw three people write down the answer so quickly. They were all correct.
One place we lived, we walked about 2 blocks to school. There was a terribly cold winter storm so we wore our snow pants, but when we got in the building my sister was sent home for wearing pants in school. Girls had to wear dresses. Of course, she was going to leave her snow pants in her locker and wear her dress all day, but that did not matter.
I have a rain coat that almost every time I put it on, the zipper gets caught in the fabric. It is really frustrating. Yesterday I had it zipped right up to my chin, so that the hood would stay up. Getting home I tried to take it off but the zipper was caught in fabric on both sides and I couldn’t get it to move. I tried to pull it up over my head and it was not going to happen. I struggled with it for at least 5 minutes before I got it off

One of my favorite daily C&H strips. Hobbes snide comments, Cal’s struggles, his indignant scream in panel #3. Classic

Getting a grin from Hobbes’s look in the final panel!

Ah – snow pants! The humiliation of many baby-boomers as children! Do they even have those anymore? Kids don’t still play outside, do they?

Watched pots don’t boil, and watched snow pants don’t zip. Simple logic.
