Younger cicada already has his wings, which means he’s out of his shell and couldn’t put on a shell that is pre-wing… Afraid I know too much of the life cycle of cicadas to find a joke in today’s strip. It’s like telling a (developed) butterfly to crawl into the cocoon of older sibling (but butterflies don’t get into cocoons, only caterpillars).
