I’m not saying that Poncho would take the Gold in the Worst Dog Ever Olympics, but he’d certainly be allowed to complete without even going through qualifying trials.
A couple lines of conversation have caused me to think about cartooning… where do the ideas come from? Do our pets give us ideas? As a retired teacher, over the years, many times, we told each other, “we should write that down… Can you imagine the book?” I am now thinking about art teachers, who might have the talent to draw panels for cartoons. If an art teacher had the same unending source of inspiration from humorous anecdotes that a classroom teacher has and the artistic talent to illustrate the events, could she put them together into a successful strip? Or am I being naively simplistic?

There he is. That’s my Poncho. If dogs were potato chips, Poncho would be the anti-crisp.

I love my pets, but I’d never put up with Poncho.

I feel I must point out here that Poncho has more the personality of a cat than that of a dog.
