The average adult breaths 12-25 times per minute. That’s 2.4 to 5 seconds/breath. You try doing 20 seconds/breath (or even the 4-4-4 mentioned earlier, which is 12 seconds/breath) and you ain’t gonna be breathing like that for long. Very shortly, you’re either going back to normal pretty quickly or you’re going to pass out (and then going back to normal) or you’re going to die (and then going back to normal for a corpse.)

I have had lots of breathing lessons and as far as I know there is no 4 4 8. Square breathing is my favorite 4 4 4

Breathe in for 4 seconds, hold it for 4 seconds and wake up on the floor 8 minutes after passing out.
