My 8th Grade English teacher was a real doofus. My friends and I used to get detention on purpose, just so we had more time to observe and laugh at him. Then, he’d give us a ride home.
Too easy an out for Nerwin! Teacher should have made him clean all the erasers, stand in front of the class and confess his miscreant ways, and then go sit in the corner!

Deportment.. had to look that up, not sure if detention can fix it though. Seems like the kind of thing a stout stick wielded by a nun would fix.
