All seriousness here: if it’s an essay Dexter wrote himself then it’s NOT plagiarism, and if the essay is relevant to the assigned topic, then at the very worst it’s laziness. Sure, the teacher expected him to write a new essay, but the goal of an essay is to demonstrate his writing ability and knowledge of the topic – and the older version does that. Granted, it implies that his knowledge and writing skill have not improved at all in the past 3 years, but that’s kind of the opposite of cheating: he’s selling himself short by missing a chance to improve on his earlier work. Lazy? Yes! Bad idea? Yes! But “cheating”? Only himself!
When the Principal send you to Detention, Dexter, will Sunny be there with you too? What if the Principal think your story you tried to run by him was so funny, he laughed. Sunny, be careful . Don’t wanna be caught in a trap.

Never let the facts get in the way of your case, Sunny.

Next thing you know, Dexter will claim that he wasn’t mirandized, and try to get his case thrown out on a technicality.

Take the case Sunny, and then do like some other lawyers do and charge him an arm and a leg for doing so!
