That’s totally normal! But I can see the principal being really happy to have an excuse for visiting Kevin’s mom in her house.

I think that principal may be wanting to visit Kevin’s mom.

So. A budding romance? Imagine the intrigue of having Mr. Sanders being Kevin’s step-dad. Or at least a significant influence.

Kevin is able to see a short time into the future, he wrote that note before his mother arrived (Can you see him asking, “Mom, wait a minute – I need to write a note to the Principal about checking up on me tomorrow in case I’m abused.”?) Pity he couldn’t see as far into the future as Miles – who warned him at the bus stop he ought to have a shirt in his backpack.
