Hey – don’t pick on Jimmy C. He’s the only person I can think of who took the Presidency and went on to do BETTER things with his life afterward (Habitat for Humanity is the biggie I’m thinking of!) ‘Course, the Dems could have put a Cucumber on the ballot and won that election … oh wait …. :)

Jimmy C. was actually one of the best governors Geaorgia had ever had. However, for comparison, in between his two terms was Lester “Axe-Handle” Maddox. Carter was definately an improvement. He couldn’t ride a bicycle backwards though.

For shame. Cucumbers have feelings too you know. And they can become quite dangerous when challenged on certain sensitive issues. I knew a cucumber once who had no sense of modesty whatsoever. One very hot summer he…………………………..oh rats, I forgot the rest.

If Carter had his way, we’d have a bunch of solar and wind powered energy systems and been relying on the American farmer for fuels instead of OPEC. but the media butchered him because he wasn’t “sophisticated.” Yeah, would have been terrible for him to be around for a second term and gut some of the power structure.
