Aha! That’s where they come from. (My neighbours kids love to blow dandelion fluff and only some of it is stopped by our bordering hedge. There are always a few that make it through or over.)

Dandelion is an exceptional plant, first for food and medicine, all it’s parts are useable. Then beauty kicks in … the dandelion is a celestial plant showing you the universe, the big round yellow, representing the sun, then the white globe, representing the full moon leading to the flight of the seed fluff looking like the stars in the sky. It also adapted its life to accommodate us. It bred itself to be able to reproduce short in stature less than 2 inches because we cut it down in our misguided endeavor to perfect nature.

One year of seeds, seven years of weeds.

They come up from the root, which can be up to 3ft deep. The seeds start best in broken soil.
