I wish I’d thought of that when I was a kid. We didn’t have school busses but I could have “accidentally” left it in my desk and no one would see it until September when the school reopened!

Yeah!!!! It’s summertime for Red and Rover!!!

Run Rover and fetch it! You are quick enough, you can do that!! But Red wants love without Report card!!

It’s a more original excuse than “the dog ate my homework”!

The parents need to just call the school. Next step is to ground Red for pulling that stunt all the time.

The teacher’s Union will save him, NOT!

‘Not again’ leaving it on the bus or ‘not again’ the grades! I expect Red getting excellent marks so it must be the bus!

June 23rd? Wow, Red has a very short summer unless his school starts later.

Wow, school really runs long there. We always got out the first day of two of June and never went back before September.

They can check the lost and failed.

Good thinking Red!! A friend used to alter mine. Add pluses or….

Oh Red, are your grades so bad that you are ashamed to show them to your parents ? You seem smarter than average, so are the low grades due to laziness ? If you want to be an astronaut or have another good job in the space program or aerospace, you better do good in high school to be accepted to a good college or university, then do good in college/university.

Time for short, flipflops and even just bare feet.

Even back in the 70s school districts would mail them out. “To the Parents of…”
